Karan Johar has managed to pull off a casting coup with his upcoming production, Brahmastra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. Karan announced recently that Nagarjuna will be playing a special role in the film.
Karan had posted, “We are honoured and exceptionally excited to have the one and only @iamnagarjuna doing an extremely “special” role in our film #BRAHMASTRA !! Directed by Ayan Mukerji@SrBachchan @aliaa08 #RanbirKapoor …thank you sir for your love and your beautiful energy.”
Now, as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Dimple Kapadia will join the second schedule of the film in Bulgaria soon. She will be returning to the screen after three years.
A source informed Mirror, “She will be seen opposite Nagarjuna in the film. It is to Karan’s credit that he could get the nod from Dimple.”
Brahmastra is a supernatural romantic fairytale and is the first of the trilogy that is being planned by Dharma Productions. Ranbir Kapoor said in a recent interview that it is important for the film to do well so that they can make sequels to the film.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have already wrapped up the first schedule of the film in Bulgaria earlier this year. The actors will be joined by Amitabh Bachchan in Bulgaria.
Brahmastra is slated to release on Independence Day next year.
