Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has been on the top of his game with the back-to-back success of his films ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Simmba’. Looking forward to starting 2019 on a high, the star will soon present his next, ‘Gully Boy’, a film inspired by Mumbai’s street rappers. The powerhouse of talent also has Karan Johar’s family-drama ‘Takht’ in the pipeline along with a biopic ‘83’, on cricketer Kapil Dev.
Ranveer impressed everyone with his ability to get under the skin of the character, be it as a hero or villain. For the biopic, the actor is going the extra mile to nail his act and has already begun prepping up for the same. He recently visited the Lord’s stadium, England with director Kabir Khan, and even commenced training under former cricketer-turned-coach Balwinder Singh Sandhu. In order to do justice to his role, the actor will also reportedly train under Kapil Dev to perfect the cricket legend’s bowling style apart from observing his mannerisms on and off the field.
In a recent interview, Ranveer had expressed his excitement to work on the film and described it as an exciting as well as daunting challenge to portray the living legend on-screen for the first time.
The Kabir Khan directorial ‘83’ is one of the highly anticipated movies of Bollywood. Ranveer Singh is playing the lead as Kapil Dev in the movie, and his recently shared Instagram post hints that actor is trying to perfect every shot and move for the film.
