In a sad turn of events, former Prime Minister of India, Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last and died on Thursday at the age of 93 years old. Vajpayee’s death was announced by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital where he was admitted on June 11. with a variety of ailments. He has been under medical supervision ever since, his health reportedly deteriorated in the last 20-hours and was apparently put on life support system. Vajpayee was admitted to AIIMS because of kidney tract infection, chest congestion and his urine output being on the lower side.
“It is with profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, at 05.05pm,” the AIIMS said in a statement.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the family of the bereaved. May his soul rest in peace.
